Today I had the great honor of being interviewed by Frank Stasio on WUNC’s program "The State of Things."
Frank was a great interviewer. He asked questions that made me think about the book and the South in new ways. And he made eye contact while I spoke, so that I really felt as if he and I were having a real back and forth conversation–just one that was, you know, recorded and broadcast.
I’m in North Carolina for the next three days. Reading at McIntyre’s Fine books tomorrow at 2pm, then the Regulator Bookshop in Durham Saturday night at 7pm. And in between the readings, I’m going to eat lots of bbq and biscuits.
