Hi! Welcome to my new website! I really like it but I’d love to know what you think. Click around, enjoy the photos, have a glass of wine, enjoy! And please leave a comment letting me know what you dig and what you’d like more of (or, ahem, less of.) Anyone who enters a comment will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a free signed copy of A Place at the Table–my first hardcover evah!

One thing to think about: I blog a lot about food but I have a feeling I could do it better. Any suggestions? More pics? More confessions of kitchen failures? More explanation of how I tweak recipes to get em how I like em?

    I love your blog/website! My favorite part is that you put stuff about your family. I think you should add pictures of your favorite foods with the recipes or links to your favorite food sites.

    I LOVE your new site. It looks great. I would love it if you would share recipes (along with a possible picture) of ones you have tried and liked, and maybe if you altered it here or there and how it worked. I love trying out new recipes others have tried and shared. Your website is awesome. Looking forward to coming to it often. :-)

    Love the new website. First of all, it’s beautiful. It’s YOU. It’s also nicely organized, it’s human (family pics! recipes!), and it contains all the info that a visitor to an author’s website is probably looking for. I like your use of the first person as well.

    Nice, nice, nice….I like the new website.
    And I love how you cook and figure out how to use all the leftover bits and pieces. I totally get it, because I do the same thing. “No, no, no, don’t throw that away…..I’m going to make something wonderful with that little scrap of whatever is left over.”

      Lynda, I was really inspired by Judith Jones’s cookbook The Pleasures of Cooking for One. Jones gives the recipe for a dish and then gives follow-up recipes for what to do with the leftovers. Her modeling of a “continuous, living kitchen” really inspired me. And now I have become completely obsessive about finding things to do with the tiniest scraps of leftover things.
