3 Things, December 23, 2008

  1. Having my old friend Kasey Foster stop by unexpectedly for a walk, which I turned into a "power" walk, much to her chagrin.
  2. Following the walk with a high gravity ale at the Porter in Little 5 Points, where we met up with another old friend whose partner just had a little girl.
  3. Figuring out how to send an I-Tunes playlist to my sister for her birthday–woops!–I mean, for Jesus’s birthday.  (Blame the high gravity beer for the slip up….I cannot overestimate the thrill I got from figuring out how to send an I-Tunes gift.  I know this is something that most 5-year olds can now do, but I’ve been way, way behind on this whole world wide web thing-y.  Though the fact that I’m blogging about my Luddite nature might possibly cast doubt on my claims of ignorance.
  4. Oh what the hell, let’s do 4 things, shall we? Rediscovering how intense and poetic Lucinda Williams is.  Hadn’t listened to her album Car Wheels On a Gravel Road in several years, but I downloaded it today in order to make my sister’s playlist.  Good God is the song "Right in Time" sexy.
